Miguel Bemfica

Miguel is Brazilian and studied journalism and worked as a journalist for 2 years before moving to advertising.

 

As a copywriter he worked at 3 ad agencies: Propeg, Colucci and Almap BBDO in Sao Paulo.

As a creative director at DM9 DDB where he developed his digital and integrated skills.

 

In both agencies he helped them became Agency of The Year and Interactive Agency of the year at Cannes, respectively.

 

He has worked as CCO at JWT Madrid since 2008 where he has revitalized the creative output and put JWT Madrid on the Awards map after a long drought.

 

The agency was the second most awarded Spanish agency at Cannes 2011, winning the only cyber lion of the country and being shortlisted for Titanium. This was only the fourth time in history that a Spanish agency has been shortlisted for this category.

 

In the past, he has worked with variety of clients such as Audi, Volkswagen, Telefonica/Movistar, Honda, Corona Beer, J & J, Kraft, Itau Bank, Inbev, Whirlpool, Unicef, Pepsi, Coke, etc.

 

A multidisciplinary creative, he has picked up a considerable number of awards in almost every category in both national and international festivals like Cannes, DA&D, One show, Clio, Art Directors Club, London Festival, NY Festival, Fiap, El Ojo, San Sebastian and other important Brazilian and Spanish events and was nominated ‘Professional of the year’ 3 times.

 

In 2008, he set up his own advertising school in Brazil called escolacuca.com

 

Miguel has started his career in Brazil. Then moved to Spain, Italy and London.

He joined Mccann Erickson in 2011 where he has been running globally accounts like Nestlé, Nespresso, Chevrolet and Coke.

 

Miguel was working at Mccann London as the Global Creative Director of Zurich Insurance and Nespresso. He will keep running creatively these 2 Global accounts, but now will also be the CCO of MRM Spain out of Madrid.

 

Miguel is a passionate hard worker with a global vision,who helps clients with their business problems through creativity. His experience working in such different countries, cultures and brands all over the world is unique. And this asset has helped him to win awards and businesses wherever he has worked.

He´s married and has a 13 year old son called Lucca. He loves surfing.
